How to Delete Your Account
We're sorry to see you go. If you wish to delete your AutoPay Manager account and associated data, please follow the instructions below.
Important: Cancel Subscription First
If you have an active subscription, please cancel it through Google Play Store before deleting your account to avoid future charges.
Go to: Google Play Store > Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > AutoPay Manager > Cancel
Understanding Your Data
AutoPay Manager stores data in two locations:
1. Local Data (On Your Device)
The following data is stored only on your device:
- Detected autopay transactions
- Manually added subscriptions
- SMS scan cache (bank messages)
- Notification cache
- App preferences and settings
This data is deleted when you uninstall the app.
2. Server Data (Our Servers)
The following data is stored on our servers:
- Phone number (used for login)
- Name and email (if provided)
- Authentication tokens
- Device information
- Subscription status
This data requires a deletion request to remove.
How to Delete Your Account
Step 1: Cancel Your Subscription (If Active)
Via Google Play Store App:
- Open the Google Play Store app
- Tap your profile icon
- Go to Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions
- Find AutoPay Manager
- Tap "Cancel subscription"
Step 2: Send Account Deletion Request
Email us at: [email protected]
Subject: Account Deletion - AutoPay Manager
Include in your email:
- Your registered phone number
- Your name (if provided during registration)
- Confirmation that you want to delete your account
- Reason for leaving (optional, helps us improve)
Step 3: Uninstall the App
Uninstall AutoPay Manager from your device to remove all local data:
- Go to your device's Settings
- Navigate to Apps > AutoPay Manager
- Tap "Uninstall"
This will remove all locally stored autopay data, SMS cache, and app preferences.
What Happens After Deletion
- Local Data: Immediately deleted when you uninstall the app
- Server Data: Deleted within 30 days of your deletion request
- Analytics Data: Anonymized data may be retained per Firebase's policies
- Subscription: Continues until current billing period ends (if cancelled)
Data We May Retain
We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:
- Records required for legal or regulatory compliance
- Transaction records for financial audits
- Information needed to resolve disputes
- Anonymized analytics data
Important Notes
- Subscription Refunds: Account deletion does not automatically qualify for a refund. Please see our Refund Policy.
- Re-Registration: After account deletion, you can re-register with the same phone number, but your previous data will NOT be restored.
- SMS/Notification Permissions: Revoking permissions or uninstalling the app will stop all SMS and notification scanning.
Alternative: Clear Data Only
If you want to keep your account but clear all tracked autopays:
- Open your device's Settings
- Go to Apps > AutoPay Manager
- Tap "Clear Data" or "Clear Storage"
This removes local data while keeping your account active.
