Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 6 February 2026

BinaryScript Private Limited ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Call Lock Pro mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

By using Call Lock Pro, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Your Data Stays on Your Device

All personal data — PINs, patterns, block lists, contact selections, and preferences — is stored locally on your device. PINs and patterns are stored as SHA-256 hashes and are never transmitted to our servers. We do not have access to your call data, contacts, or authentication credentials.

1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide

The following data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

  • PIN, pattern, or biometric credentials you set up for call locking and app locking. These are stored in hashed form (SHA-256) and are never stored in plain text.
  • Blocked phone numbers and contact selections you configure within the App.
  • Block list data you choose to export or import using the App's backup feature (JSON format, user-controlled).
  • App preferences including quiet hours settings, lock mode selections, and language preferences.

Important: We do NOT collect or have access to your actual phone numbers, call content, SMS messages, contact details, or call history. All data accessed through permissions is processed locally on your device.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically
  • Firebase Crashlytics: Crash reports and performance data including device model, operating system version, and crash stack traces — to help us identify and fix bugs.
  • Firebase Analytics: Anonymous usage analytics including feature usage patterns, screen views, and session data — to help us understand how features are used. No personally identifiable information is included.
1.3 Information Collected by Third-Party Services (Free Version)
  • Google AdMob: In the free version, Google AdMob may collect advertising ID, IP address, device information, and ad interaction data to serve personalized advertisements.
  • Google Play Billing: Subscription and purchase data is processed by Google Play. Payment information is handled entirely by Google.
2. Permissions and Data Access

The App requires the following permissions to function. Data accessed through these permissions is processed locally on your device and is NOT transmitted to our servers:

Permission Details
  • Phone State: To detect incoming calls and display the lock screen. We do not record or store call content.
  • Call Log: To identify recent callers for the lock screen. Call log data is processed locally and not uploaded.
  • Contacts: To identify known callers and enable the selected contacts filter. Contact data is not uploaded to any server.
  • Answer Phone Calls: To manage call answering when the lock screen is active and to auto-reject calls after failed unlock attempts.
  • Display Over Other Apps: To show the lock screen overlay during incoming calls.
  • Notifications: To maintain the foreground service notification that keeps call protection active.
  • Call Screening (Android 10+): To screen and block calls based on your block list and quiet hours settings.
  • Biometric: To authenticate using fingerprint when biometric lock is enabled. Biometric data is handled entirely by the Android operating system and is never accessed by the App.
  • Internet: For subscription verification, crash reporting, analytics, and serving advertisements (free version).
  • Boot Completed: To restart call protection automatically after your device restarts.

Note: Denying required permissions may result in reduced functionality. You can manage permissions through your device settings at any time.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide call locking and call blocking functionality as configured by you
  • Maintain and improve the App's stability and performance
  • Understand feature usage patterns through anonymous analytics to guide development
  • Process and verify in-app subscriptions through Google Play Billing
  • Serve advertisements in the free version (via Google AdMob)
4. Data Storage and Security
Security Measures
  • All personal data (PINs, patterns, block lists, contact selections, and preferences) is stored locally on your device using Android's encrypted storage mechanisms.
  • PINs and patterns are stored as SHA-256 hashes. The original values are never stored in plain text.
  • Biometric data is managed by the Android operating system and is never accessible to the App.
  • We do not operate servers that store your personal data.

Crash reports and analytics are processed by Google Firebase under Google's privacy policies.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics (Google): Anonymous crash reports and usage analytics as described above. This data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Google AdMob (Free Version): Advertising data for serving personalized ads. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Play Billing: Subscription and purchase data is processed by Google Play. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

We do not share your contacts, call logs, block lists, or authentication credentials with any third party.

6. Advertising (Free Version)

The free version of Call Lock Pro displays advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data to serve personalized ads, including:

  • Advertising ID
  • IP address
  • Device information
  • Ad interaction data

Opt-Out of Personalized Ads: You can opt out of personalized advertising by going to your device Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization. Premium subscribers do not see advertisements.

7. Data Retention
  • Local data (PINs, block lists, preferences): Remains on your device until you clear the App's data or uninstall it.
  • Crash reports and analytics: Retained by Firebase according to Google's data retention policies.
  • Block list exports: Stored as JSON files on your device under your control.
8. Multi-Language Support

16 Languages Supported: Call Lock Pro is available in English, Hindi, Chinese, Spanish, Arabic, Bengali, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, French, German, Indonesian, Urdu, Turkish, Korean, and Telugu. Language preferences are stored locally on your device.

9. Children's Privacy

Call Lock Pro is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access and modify all your data directly within the App (PINs, block lists, settings)
  • Export your block list data using the App's export feature (JSON format)
  • Delete all your data by clearing the App's data or uninstalling it
  • Opt out of analytics by disabling usage data sharing in your device settings
  • Opt out of personalized ads via device settings

Data Deletion: Since all data is stored locally on your device, uninstalling the App or clearing App data will permanently delete all your settings, block lists, and preferences. This action cannot be undone.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
