BinaryScript ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Caller Announcer Pro mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

Key Privacy Principle

Your contact and call data stays on your device. Caller Announcer Pro processes all caller identification locally. We do NOT transmit your contacts, call logs, or phone state information to our servers or any third party. The App functions entirely on your device for its core features.

1. Information We Collect

We collect and access the following types of information:

A. Contacts (READ_CONTACTS Permission)
  • Purpose: To retrieve the names of incoming callers from your contact list
  • Processing: All contact data is accessed and processed locally on your device
  • Storage: Contact data is NOT stored by the App and is NOT transmitted to our servers or any third party
  • Control: You can revoke this permission at any time through your device settings
B. Call Logs (READ_CALL_LOG Permission)
  • Purpose: To access call history for caller identification functionality
  • Processing: Call log data is processed locally on your device
  • Storage: Call log data is NOT stored by the App and is NOT transmitted to our servers or any third party
  • Control: You can revoke this permission at any time through your device settings
C. Phone State (READ_PHONE_STATE Permission)
  • Purpose: To detect incoming calls and trigger the caller name announcement
  • Processing: Phone state information is processed locally on your device
  • Storage: This data is NOT stored and is NOT transmitted externally
D. Location Data (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION, ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION Permissions)
  • Purpose: To enable the Silent Zones feature, which allows you to automatically mute announcements in specific locations
  • Processing: Location data is processed locally on your device by Google Play Services
  • Storage: Location-based silent zone settings are stored locally in the App's database on your device
  • Transmission: Location data is NOT transmitted to our servers
  • Control: You can revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings
E. Device Information (via Firebase Crashlytics)
  • Purpose: To identify and fix crashes and technical issues
  • Data Collected: Device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and stack traces
  • Processing: This data is transmitted to Firebase Crashlytics (a Google service) for analysis
  • Privacy: Crash data does not include personally identifiable information
F. Usage Data (via Firebase Analytics)
  • Purpose: To understand how users interact with the App and improve our services
  • Data Collected: App usage patterns, feature usage, session duration, and general interaction data
  • Processing: This data is transmitted to Firebase Analytics (a Google service)
  • Privacy: Usage data is collected in an anonymized/pseudonymized manner
G. Advertising Identifiers (via Google AdMob)
  • Purpose: To display personalized advertisements within the App
  • Data Collected: Advertising ID, ad interaction data, and general device information
  • Processing: This data is transmitted to Google AdMob for ad serving and analytics
  • Control: You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads through your device settings
2. Local Data Storage

The App stores certain data locally on your device:

  • Blocklist: Phone numbers you have chosen to block from announcements
  • Silent Zone Locations: Geographic locations where you have configured silent announcements
  • User Preferences: Your app settings and preferences (announcement volume, speech rate, etc.)

This locally stored data is NOT transmitted to our servers or any third party. You can clear this data by clearing the App's data in your device settings or by uninstalling the App.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services that may collect information:
