How to Delete Your Account

Invoice & Receipt Maker respects your right to data privacy and control over your personal information. We've made the account deletion process simple and straightforward.

Option 1: Delete Account Through the App

  1. Open the Invoice & Receipt Maker app
  2. Navigate to "Settings" (tap the menu icon in the top-left corner)
  3. Scroll down and tap on "Account"
  4. Select "Delete Account" at the bottom of the screen
  5. Read the information about account deletion carefully
  6. Enter your password or authenticate when prompted for security verification
  7. Confirm deletion by tapping "Delete My Account Permanently"
  8. Your account and authentication data will be scheduled for deletion

Option 2: Contact Support

If you're unable to access your account or experiencing issues with the in-app deletion process:

  1. Send an email to [email protected]
  2. Include the subject line "Invoice & Receipt Maker Account Deletion Request"
  3. Provide the email address associated with your Google account (if you signed in with Google)
  4. Our support team will verify your identity and process your deletion request within 7 business days

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

When you delete your account:

  • Your Google account connection will be removed from our system
  • Your subscription status and authentication data will be permanently deleted
  • Your premium subscription will be canceled (if applicable)
  • You will lose access to premium features

Important: Your Business Data

CRITICAL INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS DATA:

  • All your business data (invoices, receipts, clients, inventory) is stored LOCALLY on your device
  • Deleting your account does NOT automatically delete your business data
  • Your business data will remain on your device until you uninstall the app
  • To completely remove all business data, you must uninstall the Invoice & Receipt Maker app after deleting your account

Data Retention After Account Deletion

  • Immediate Deletion: Your account information and authentication data are deleted immediately from active servers
  • Server Backups: Complete removal from all backups may take up to 30 days
  • Local Device Data: All invoices, receipts, clients, and inventory data stored locally on your device will remain until you uninstall the app
  • Legal Requirements: We may retain certain information if required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as:
    • Records of subscription transactions for financial reporting
    • Information needed for legal proceedings
    • Aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics

Reinstating a Deleted Account

Once your account is deleted, it cannot be reinstated. If you wish to use Invoice & Receipt Maker again in the future, you'll need to create a new account by signing in with Google again.

Before You Delete - IMPORTANT Steps

We strongly recommend you take these steps BEFORE deleting your account:

1. Export Your Business Data
  • Export All Invoices: Go to Invoices > Menu > Export All to save PDF copies of all your invoices
  • Export Reports: Go to Analytics > Export to save your business reports and tax summaries to PDF/CSV
  • Backup Client Data: Go to Clients > Menu > Export to save your client contact information
  • Backup Inventory: Go to Inventory > Menu > Export to save your product/service catalog
2. Cancel Your Subscription (If Applicable)

If you have an active subscription:

  • Cancel your subscription through Google Play Store settings BEFORE deleting your account
  • This ensures no future charges
  • Deleting your account does NOT automatically issue refunds for active subscriptions

3. Save Important Documents
  • Download or email copies of critical invoices and receipts
  • Save your company profile information (logo, bank details, GSTIN)
  • Take screenshots of important reports or analytics

Complete Data Removal

To completely remove all data from your device:

  1. Delete your account using Option 1 or Option 2 above
  2. Export all important business data (invoices, clients, inventory)
  3. Uninstall the Invoice & Receipt Maker app from your device
  4. This will permanently delete all locally stored business data
  5. WARNING: This action cannot be undone. Make sure you have exported everything you need.

Additional Notes

  • Deleting your account will not automatically issue refunds for any active subscriptions or purchases
  • Invoices and receipts you've shared with clients (via PDF, email, or other methods) will remain accessible to those recipients
  • If you've signed in with Google, the connection to your Google account will be removed, but you'll need to manage privacy settings on Google separately
  • PDFs you've saved to external storage (Google Drive, device downloads folder) will not be affected by account deletion

Alternatives to Account Deletion

Consider these alternatives before permanently deleting your account:

  • Pause Usage: Simply stop using the app without deleting your account - your data remains safe on your device
  • Cancel Subscription: If you're concerned about charges, cancel your subscription without deleting your account
  • Export and Archive: Export all your data and keep your account for future use
  • Clear Some Data: Delete individual invoices, clients, or products instead of everything
