How to Delete Your Account

We're sorry to see you go. If you wish to delete your RadarMap account and associated data, please follow the instructions below.

Important: Cancel Premium Subscription First

If you have an active Premium subscription, please cancel it through Google Play Store before deleting your account to avoid future charges.

Go to: Google Play Store > Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > RadarMap Premium > Cancel

Understanding Your Data

RadarMap stores data in two locations:

1. Local Data (On Your Device)

The following data is stored only on your device:

  • Map cache and offline data
  • App preferences and settings
  • Alert mode configurations
  • Theme preferences
  • Speed unit settings

This data is deleted when you uninstall the app.

Important: Your real-time location data is NEVER stored - it's only processed locally for alerts and never uploaded.

2. Server Data (Our Servers via Firebase)

The following data is stored on our servers:

  • Google account info (name, email, profile picture)
  • User ID
  • Camera reports you submitted
  • Votes on camera reports
  • Premium subscription status

This data requires a deletion request to remove.

  1. Open the Google Play Store app

Community Contributions
Camera Reports You Submitted

When you delete your account:

  • Your camera reports may be retained anonymously in the community database to help other drivers
  • Your name and email will be removed from the reports
  • The reports will no longer be associated with your user ID

If you want your camera reports completely removed, please specify this in your deletion request email.

Data We May Retain

We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:

  • Records required for legal or regulatory compliance
  • Transaction records for financial audits (Premium purchases)
  • Information needed to resolve disputes
  • Anonymized analytics data
  • Anonymized camera reports (unless you request complete removal)
Important Notes
  • Premium Refunds: Account deletion does not automatically qualify for a refund. Please see our Refund Policy.
  • Re-Registration: After account deletion, you can re-register with the same Google account, but your previous data (reports, votes, preferences) will NOT be restored.
  • Location Permissions: Revoking location permissions or uninstalling the app will stop all location processing and camera alerts.
  • Google Account: Deleting your RadarMap account does NOT delete your Google account. Your Google account remains unaffected.
Alternative: Sign Out Only

If you want to stop using the app temporarily without deleting your data:

  1. Open RadarMap
  2. Go to Profile/Settings
  3. Tap "Sign Out"

Your data remains intact and you can sign back in later.

Alternative: Clear Local Data Only

If you want to keep your account but clear local cache:

  1. Open your device's Settings
  2. Go to Apps > RadarMap
  3. Tap "Clear Data" or "Clear Storage"

This removes local data while keeping your account and server data intact. You'll need to sign in again.

Revoking Google Account Access

To revoke RadarMap's access to your Google account:

  1. Go to your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions
  2. Find RadarMap in the list of third-party apps
  3. Click "Remove Access"

This revokes sign-in access but doesn't delete your RadarMap account data. Submit a deletion request for complete data removal.
