We are committed to protecting your privacy. ShareMyWiFi is designed with privacy as a core principle - your WiFi passwords are stored locally on your device with encryption and NEVER leave your device or get uploaded to our servers.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

• WiFi Network Names (SSID): When you save WiFi networks, the network names are stored locally on your device
• WiFi Passwords: Passwords are encrypted and stored locally on your device only. They are NEVER transmitted to our servers or any third party
• Custom Network Labels: Any custom names or labels you assign to saved networks
• Google Account Information: If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google Sign-In via Firebase Authentication

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, mobile network information
• App Usage Data: Features used, app performance metrics, crash reports, and analytics data collected via Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics
• Network State Information: Current WiFi connection status and available networks (used to auto-detect networks for saving)
• Location Information: Android requires location permission to access WiFi information. We DO NOT track your physical location. This permission is solely required by Android OS to scan for WiFi networks and is not used for location tracking.

• Purpose: To make API calls to Firebase services (Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics) and load ads from AdMob
• Note: WiFi passwords are NEVER transmitted over the internet

6.2 ACCESS_WIFI_STATE / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE

• Purpose: To detect current WiFi connection and available networks
• Usage: Auto-detect networks for saving, show current network status
• Note: Required for core app functionality

6.3 ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION

6.4 NFC

• Purpose: To read and write WiFi credentials to NFC tags
• Usage: Tap-to-share functionality with NFC tags
• Note: Only used when you explicitly choose to read/write NFC tags

6.5 CAMERA

• Purpose: To scan QR codes containing WiFi credentials
• Usage: Built-in QR scanner to import WiFi networks
• Note: Camera access is only used when you explicitly open the QR scanner

6.6 WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

• Purpose: To save QR code images to your device gallery
• Usage: When you choose to save a QR code as an image
• Note: Only accessed when you explicitly save QR codes

All permissions are requested with clear explanations and are only used for stated purposes.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

7.1 What We NEVER Share

• WiFi passwords - NEVER shared with anyone, including us
• Your physical location
