How to Delete Your Account
We're sorry to see you go. If you wish to delete your SIP Book account and associated data, please follow the instructions below.
Important: Backup Your Data First
Before deleting your account, we strongly recommend that you:
- Export your data using the Backup feature in the app
- Export your records to CSV format for your records
- Save any important client information you may need
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Understanding Your Data
SIP Book stores data in two locations:
1. Local Data (On Your Device)
The following data is stored only on your device:
- Client information (names, contacts, PAN)
- SIP details and payment records
- Notes and categories
- Backup files
- App preferences and settings
This data is deleted when you uninstall the app.
2. Server Data (Our Servers)
The following minimal data is stored on our servers:
- Phone number (used for login)
- Name and email (if provided)
- Authentication tokens
- Device information
This data requires a deletion request to remove.
How to Delete Your Account
Option 1: Delete Local Data Only
If you only want to remove local data (client info, SIPs, payments):
Step 1: Open your device's Settings
Step 2: Go to Apps > SIP Book
Step 3: Tap "Clear Data" or "Clear Storage"
Step 4: Uninstall the app
This will remove all data stored on your device.
Option 2: Complete Account Deletion
To delete your account and all associated data (both local and server-side):
Step 1: Export your data (recommended)
- Go to Settings > Backup in the app
- Create a backup or export to CSV
Step 2: Send a deletion request email

Subject: Data Deletion Request - SIP Book
Include in your email:
- Your registered phone number
- Your name (if provided during registration)
- Confirmation that you want to delete your account
Step 3: Uninstall the app
Uninstall SIP Book from your device to remove all local data.
What Happens After Deletion
- Local Data: Immediately deleted when you uninstall the app
- Server Data: Deleted within 30 business days of your request
- Analytics Data: Anonymized data in Firebase may be retained per Google's policies
- Backup Files: Any backup files on your device remain until you manually delete them
Data We May Retain
We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:
- Records required for legal or regulatory compliance
- Information needed to resolve disputes
- Anonymized analytics data
Re-Registration
After account deletion:
- You can re-register with the same phone number
- Your previous data will NOT be restored
- You will start with a fresh account
