By downloading, installing, or using GlowSnitch, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Description of Service
GlowSnitch is a sun exposure monitoring application that tracks your time in sunlight, provides UV index information, and sends reminders to apply sunscreen. The app uses your device sensors, location, and external UV data APIs to estimate your sun exposure.
Medical Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: GlowSnitch is a wellness tool and is NOT a medical device. The app is NOT a substitute for professional dermatological or medical consultation. UV index readings, sun exposure estimates, and SPF recommendations are approximations and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for sun protection decisions.
GlowSnitch shall not be held liable for sunburn, skin damage, or any health consequences resulting from use of, or reliance on, the app. You are solely responsible for your own sun protection.
Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for advice regarding skin health and sun exposure.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use GlowSnitch.
3. User Responsibilities
By using GlowSnitch, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your skin type during setup
- Make your own informed decisions about sunscreen application and sun exposure
- Not rely solely on the app for sun protection
- Ensure that required permissions (location, activity recognition, etc.) are granted for the app to function properly
4. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and materials within GlowSnitch are the property of GlowSnitch and its developers. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the app except as permitted by applicable law.
5. Third-Party Services
GlowSnitch uses the following third-party APIs to retrieve UV index data:
- Open-Meteo (api.open-meteo.com)
- CurrentUVIndex.com (currentuvindex.com/api/v1/uvi)
Third-Party Disclaimer: We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or reliability of these third-party services. Their use is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
GlowSnitch is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee:
- The accuracy of UV index data or sun exposure calculations
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the app
- That notifications will be delivered on time or at all
- That the app will prevent sunburn or skin damage
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GlowSnitch and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from:
- Skin damage, sunburn, or any health-related harm
- Missed, delayed, or inaccurate notifications
- Inaccurate UV index data or exposure calculations
- Reliance on the app for sun protection decisions
- Interruption or unavailability of third-party UV data services
8. Termination
You may stop using GlowSnitch at any time by uninstalling the app. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all locally stored data. We reserve the right to discontinue the app at any time without notice.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this document. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
