How to Delete Your Account
We're sorry to see you go. If you wish to delete your Auto Driver account and associated data, please follow the instructions below.
Important: Cancel Your Subscription First
If you have an active subscription, please cancel it before deleting your account to avoid future charges.
Users in India (PhonePe): open the PhonePe app > Profile > Autopay (Manage Subscriptions / Mandates) > find Auto Driver > Cancel / Stop.
Users outside India (Google Play): open the Google Play Store > Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Auto Driver > Cancel.
Understanding Your Data
Auto Driver stores data in two locations:
1. Local Data (On Your Device)
The following data is stored only on your device:
- Trip history (graded ride requests, fares, distances, ratings)
- Secret Camera recordings (video and any audio)
- App preferences and settings (thresholds, overlay options, etc.)
This data is deleted when you uninstall the app.
2. Account Data (Our Servers)
The following data is stored on our servers:
- Phone number (used for OTP login, verified via Truecaller or MSG91)
- Name and email (if provided)
- Authentication tokens and device information
- Subscription status and billing records (via PhonePe or Google Play)
This data requires a deletion request to remove.
How to Delete Your Account
Step 1: Cancel Your Subscription (If Active)
Users in India — via the PhonePe app:
- Open the PhonePe app
- Tap your profile icon
- Go to Autopay (Manage Subscriptions / Mandates)
- Find the Auto Driver mandate
- Tap "Cancel" or "Stop" to end the recurring AutoPay
Users outside India — via the Google Play Store:
- Open the Google Play Store app
- Tap your profile icon
- Go to Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions
- Find Auto Driver
- Tap "Cancel subscription"
Cancelling stops future automatic charges. You keep access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.
Step 2: Send Account Deletion Request

Subject: Account Deletion - Auto Driver
Include in your email:
- Your registered phone number
- Your name (if provided during registration)
- Confirmation that you want to delete your account
- Reason for leaving (optional, helps us improve)
Step 3: Uninstall the App
Uninstall Auto Driver from your device to remove all local data:
- Go to your device's Settings
- Navigate to Apps > Auto Driver
- Tap "Uninstall"
This will remove all locally stored trip history, Secret Camera recordings, and app preferences.
What Happens After Deletion
- Local Data: Immediately deleted when you uninstall the app
- Account Data: Deleted within 30 days of your deletion request
- Analytics Data: Anonymized data may be retained per Firebase's policies
- Subscription: Continues until the current billing period ends (if cancelled)
Data We May Retain
We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:
- Records required for legal or regulatory compliance
- Transaction records for financial audits
- Information needed to resolve disputes
- Anonymized analytics data
Important Notes
- Subscription Refunds: Account deletion does not automatically qualify for a refund. Please see our Refund Policy.
- Re-Registration: After account deletion, you can re-register with the same phone number, but your previous data will NOT be restored.
- Permissions: Revoking permissions or uninstalling the app will stop all Cherry Picker and Secret Camera functionality.
Alternative: Clear Data Only
If you want to keep your account but clear all locally stored data:
- Open your device's Settings
- Go to Apps > Auto Driver
- Tap "Clear Data" or "Clear Storage"
This removes local data (trip history, recordings, preferences) while keeping your account active.
